Frank J. Marchini, B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed.
Frank has 39 years of Administrative and Teaching experience. His first 32 years were dedicated to the Ontario Public School system, mostly as a Head of Guidance/Student Services, and the latest 7 years dedication to the Private School system as a Principal and Educational Director. Within these 7 years, Frank was the founding Principal and Educational Director of Westfield Education, as well as four other Private Schools.
Principal of Westfield Secondary School
It is such a pleasure to be the principal of Westfield Secondary School. My journey in education began with my post-secondary education. I graduated with a Bachelor in Music Education and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. I’ve held various teaching posts working with students from grades 6 -12, in both public and private schools. In addition to the 20 years of educational experience I bring to Westfield, I am a practicing therapist having completed my masters in counselling psychology. With the help of my colleagues, I believe my professional and life experiences will contribute to the growth and success of Westfield Secondary School.
Imad Al Hawamdeh
Vice Principal, Westfield Secondary School; Program Coordinator of Westfield English Language School (WELS); ESL Instructor
Imad Hawamdeh is a bilingual, multicultural educator with nearly 20 years experience in international, secondary, and higher education. Imad utilizes his bilingual and multicultural skills and experiences as a teacher and cultural advisor to foster effective and practical learning for today’s globalized world.
Previously, Imad taught ESL and advised on Arabic culture and language at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania for 4 years as well as Oregon State University for 5 consecutive years.

Will Symonenko teaches science and social studies here at Westfield Secondary. As an educator, Will has always felt his duties are twofold: firstly to provide the academic background that students will need to pursue the subjects of their choice at the post-secondary level, and secondly to instill the right work habits that are required for young people to be successful in university life. Will’s academic qualifications include two Bachelor’s degrees in science and social studies from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta. Will has been teaching international students for over 6 years, so he has developed the empathy needed to help such students with any difficulties with the English language that they may initially experience here in Canada. If you are interested in learning physics, chemistry, or social studies, Will very much looks forward to meeting and teaching you.
Eyad Kalthoum holds a Bachelor of Arts & Humanities from the Department of English Literature & Language, and a Master of Teaching English Language from at Albaath University.
Eyad brings over eight years of experience in teaching students 10 to 20 years old in the English language. Mr. Eyad’s strong awareness of the diversity of learning styles has led him to develop a flexible approach to teaching that aims to build confidence and a passion for learning in each student. Eyad is a passionate teacher with advanced language skills and a proven track record in achievement in the classroom. As someone whose path in life was transformed through the influence of an inspiring educator, I have made it my life purpose to help other young people to develop the learning tools and motivation they need to achieve their best, both within the classroom and beyond.
Dr. Meisam Karami
Dr. Meisam Karami has chosen academia as his profession in 2011, a lecturer of Business, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. He holds a BBA from Azad University in Iran (2009), an MBA from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in India (2011), and a Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Malaysia (2017).
Dr. Karami has demonstrated an excellent record of teaching and supervision in the academic field, both high school and undergraduate levels. He has shown excellent records of impactful research and publications which has directly strengthened his expertise in the area of his interest. He published more than 40 articles in competitive international journals, proceedings, books and book chapters. Such commitment is truly an academician landmark.
Dr. Karami’s academic recognition and leadership demonstrate the level of the professorship. His notable contributions are recognized locally and internationally by invitation as an invited presenter, reviewer, and editor in journals. Dr. Karami is excited to bring his academic expertise to Westfield Education throughout its continual progress.
Maryam graduated with two master’s degree in pure and applied mathematics as a top student from Isfahan University of Technology and Brock University, respectively.
She has been teaching various courses related to mathematics for 11 years at several universities and high schools in Iran and Canada. Maryam is comfortable teaching all grades of math and has a passion for mathematics. She loves working with teenagers and her goal is to help students find a method or strategy that works best for them and make them more confident learners in math.
Maryam acknowledges the importance of math and the extraordinary influence of math in real life. She is passionate about mathematics and its applications in other sciences, technologies. She believes that mathematical reasoning skills can help everyone to become a better thinker, decision maker and practitioner in everyday life.
Outside of school her hobbies are researching for Coding and information Theory, composing and reading poem, playing badminton, traveling and photography.
Jennilee is native to the Toronto area and attended Wilfrid Laurier University. She began teaching ENG3U at WSS this semester; prior to this she spent four years teaching in Guangzhou, China. There she taught at Guangdong Experimental High School, International AP program, and her subjects were AP English Literature, grade 10, 11, and 12 Literature and AP Psychology. She was also the high school emotional and mental support counselor.
Coordinator for Care and Conduct
Liliya is an optimistic and extremely patient student counselor here at Westfield Secondary School. Liliya utilizes her knowledge and experience working with students to provide professional service at the highest level. Liliya is always dedicated to helping students succeed academically at Westfield Secondary School putting students’ interests and needs as her first priority.
Admission/ Visa Specialist
Ms. Kiki holds a Bachelor’s degree in law and a postgraduate certificate in business management.
Kiki holds the position of student counsellor at Westfield Secondary School. Kiki has over 10 years of working experience in international education and office administration. Kiki is very familiar with the Canadian educational system and visa application process. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and has sufficient knowledge in Cantonese. Kiki understands students’ academic needs and is committed to giving students the best tailored counselling in course selection, university application and career planning. As a staff member of Westfield Secondary School, Kiki strives to help local and international students succeed in their high school study.
Welcome Desk Specialist
Ms. Gail Sousa is the Welcome Desk Office Specialist/Receptionist at Westfield Secondary School. Ms. Gail combines both educational and administrative backgrounds. She taught at Montessori schools for 15 years which also included 2 years of administrative work. Ms Gail has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Loyalist College along with a certificate in Office Administration. She also has a certificate in teaching Montessori from the Toronto Montessori Institute. She enjoys working in a secondary school setting where she is able to expand her knowledge of education from a global perspective. Ms. Gail looks forward to growing within Westfield Education as the school itself continues to grow.
International Recruiting Manager / Admission Officer
Lynn joined Westfield Education in June 2016, and currently serves as the International Recruiting Manager and Admission Officer.
Lynn brings to Westfield Education a unique global expertise working with Japanese international organizations for more than 15 years. She held several marketing and strategic management positions in both Japan and Vietnam. Her most recent position was Vice Chairman at Fuji Business Cooperation in Japan, and a board member at JITCO (Japan International Training Cooperation Organization).
Lynn holds a Bachelor Degree in Foreign Languages from Ha Noi University. Lynn’s international experience has provided her with the essential tools to succeed in dealing with international education associates. Lynn’s background in education is also an asset that she utilizes to communicate and help international students to realize and understand well the value of education.
Amonia Jasper Erekosima
Recruitment Representative/ Nigeria
Amonia Jasper Erekosima has extensive experience in the development and management of human service programs. He is the President of the Global Entrepreneurial Centre For Peace and Humanity in Toronto Canada.
Mr Amonia Jasper Erekosima backed his first degree in law at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, and he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002. Mr. Amonia held numerous leadership positions while in Nigeria. Two of which includes being the Managing Solicitor/Head Partner at Jasper Amonia Erekosima & Co (Eremaks Chambers) and Director Legal/Chamber Secretary for the Nigeria Belize Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture. Mr Amonia Jasper Erekosima recently obtained his Paralegal Diploma at the Herzing College in Toronto Canada
Presently, Amonia Jasper Erekosima works with Westfield Secondary School as the Recruiting Representative for Nigeria.
At the beginning of my journey here at Westfield, I was filled with doubt and a lot of nerves. However, the enthusiastic teachers and staff, along with the energetic students helped me to adapt to this community quickly. I enjoy and appreciate my time here. Westfield is my home away from home.
Westfield Secondary is a great school to me. The students are friendly, and I can make friends with people from different countries. The teachers here are great, they are always here to listen and help us with any problems we come across. I would recommend Westfield Secondary to anyone interested in coming here!
I feel like the staff and teachers are friends. They are caring towards my study and life. They have helped build my confidence day by day, and improve my English which helps me adjust to local life. My parents are so proud of me and its all thanks to Westfield!
I came to Canada being excited but also feeling very nervous. I did not have any confidence in speaking English, but the teaching at Westfield help me to rebuild my confidence and has motivated me to improve my learning.
It’s been a few months now that I have been studying at Westfield. From the first day I came, Westfield made me feel very welcomed. Everyone is very friendly and communicative. The teachers are extremely caring and kind, and they really want us to succeed. Westfield has made me feel at home!
